A Flathead Lake Vacation Home - Lakeside

Tucked in along north Lakeside Bay, this family homestead offers panoramic views across Flathead Lake of the magnificent Swan Range. Its 175 feet of lake front offers a naturally beautiful pebbled beach, campfire pit, deck, dock, and picnic area under the gaze of the old windmill. The clear lake is famous for great swimming, paddling, boating, water sports, and fishing. Peaceful sunrises, osprey cries, and bird songs are your wake up calls. The wooded surroundings offer privacy and beauty. This lovely getaway will bring relaxation and renewal.

There are two places available, both cozy and comfortable. The main house features large picture windows overlooking the lake. The natural wood, lake rock fireplace and patio, with warm comfortable furniture, has been a well-loved family gathering place. It even features a baby grand piano in the living room with a great view no matter where you sit. It has two bedrooms with windows looking into the woods, natural wood floors, large closets and good beds. The tile and glass bathroom even features a heated floor. The cute pine cupboards bring warmth to the kitchen with all the modern conveniences you'd want. A little bunkhouse, with twin beds, allows this place to accommodate six people. You'll feel right at home in this beautiful setting.

Next door is the original log cabin. For a couple, or additional guests, this charming renovated cabin is perfect. It has one bedroom with a double log bed, a kitchen and living room with windows bringing the natural beauty inside, and through the breezeway is an attached modern bathroom with shower/laundry on one side and toilet and sink on the other. It features a nice deck in front, with privacy from the lilac arbor, and a view down to the lake.

We are about 17 miles south of Kalispell and 105 miles north of Missoula.

Coming south from Kalispell on Hwy. 93, watch for green mile marker signs. We're about 17 miles south of Kalispell and about 5 or 6 miles after Somers Montana. Watch for the Caroline Point Orchard's Cherry Haus on the highway then the next left is the north end of N. Lakeside Blvd. at mile marker 99 located on the lake side of the highway. If you miss it or it is hard to turn, keep going on down the hill into Lakeside. You can turn left onto the south end of N. Lakeside Blvd. just at the bottom of the hill.

However, it might be easier, especially if you're hauling a boat, to go into Lakeside and turn around so you can come back on Highway 93 and turn right onto N. Lakeside Blvd. at the bottom of the hill and go along the lake. (If you're coming from the south, i.e. Missoula, you would enter the same way. So after entering Lakeside and watch for N. Lakeside Blvd. coming up on your right as the Highway 93 begins to go up a hill again leaving Lakeside on the north).

That paved road going along the lake is our road. We're at 234. There is a little good luck sign in a tree at the bottom of the driveway to the main house with our number on it if you are renting the main house. There is parking behind the main house, if that is the place you've rented. The number is also on our mail box, on the lake side, and you'll see the windmill just past that, down by a picnic table and our deck and dock on the lake. If you are renting the log cabin, you'll be able to see it tucked in the lilac bushes just up the hill past the mail box. To access the cabin parking, pass the neighbors carport on the road and take the driveway immediately past that. The parking is next to the tipi inside the split rail fence on the lawn. If you rented both places, you can park in any of our parking places.

Coming from the north and turning at mile marker 99 is a little harder, since you have to find our number first on the mail box and driveway and then turn up the driveway. If you're staying in the cabin, you have to go back and turn up the driveway just before the neighbor's carport.
