From downtown Whitefish go north on Baker/Wisconsin Avenue (SR487) 2 miles from its intersection with US Highway 93. Continue north about 1/2 mile and watch for the sigh to Whitefish Mountain Resort. Turn right onto Big Mountain Road and follow this 5 miles. Watch for Kandahar Lodge on left, then take the next right onto Alpine Village Drive. Take a left at the "T" in the road.
