Festival Amadeus, Montana's only weeklong classical music festival will launch its 5th season with a free open-air concert on Sunday, July 22 at Depot Park in Whitefish. The park opens at 6:00 pm with the concert starting at 7:30 pm. Bring lawn chairs or blankets or take advantage of preferred seating at $15 per person, under the large tent. Beer, wine and food will be available for purchase. Glacier Symphony and Chorale Music Director, John Zoltek, will lead the Festival Amadeus Orchestra and violinist, Tim Fain is the featured performer.
The week continues on Monday, July 23, with Virtuoso Violins, a silent auction and wine tasting, at the O'Shaughnessy Center for the Performing Arts. Doors open at 7 pm and bidding will close at 8:30 p.m. 12 original works of violin art from prominent Montana artists and tasting from "Mozart's Cellar" featuring select wines from Austria and Italy will be held.
Tuesday July 24, 2012 Chamber Night 1 "Magnificent Duo" at the Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts, 7:30 p.m. Featuring Paul Coletti, viola and Tim Fain, violin accompanied by April Lane, piano.
Wednesday, July 25, is Chamber Night 2, "Cello Piano Fantasy," featuring Alon Goldstein piano. He will be joined by Amit Peled, cello, and Dinah Weimer, clarinet. Concert is in Whitefish PAC at 7:30 p.m. A selection of works by Mozart and Debussy with a clarinet Trio by Beethoven will be performed.
Thursday, July 26 will be the first Orchestra night "Serenade of Soloists" featuring the Festival Amadeus Strings with Tim Fain, violin and Paul Coletti, viola. Concert will be held in the Whitefish Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Works by Mozart, Bach, Teleman and Vivaldi will be featured.
"Haydn and Mozart and Shostakovich" take the stage on Friday, July 27 at the WF PAC, 7:30 p.m. featuring the Festival Amadeus Orchestra and guest cellist Amit Peled in the evocatively romantic "Cello Concerto" by Robert Schumann. Popular symphonies by Haydn and Mozart complete this concert of classical masterpieces.

Concert highlights guest pianist Alon Goldstein and his interpretation of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 in Bb major. Symphony principal clarinetist, Dinah Weimer also will be featured in the world premier of "Concerto Rustica" penned by Maestro Zoltek. Sparkling overtures by Mozart and Rossini will complete the week of music brings together the Festival Amadeus Orchestra.

The Box office will be open during Festival Week from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the O'Shaughnessy Center, and starting at 5:00 pm at the O'Shaugnessy Center on Monday through Thursday and the WF Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday.
