Kootenai River Outfitters - Troy

Kootenai River Outfitters is located in the heart of the Cabinet Mountains in beautiful Northwest Montana. We offer both drift boat and wade fishing. Our primary focus is on the Blue Ribbon water of the Kootenai River. Full and half day trips are available most of the year. Our guides are all licensed local experts that have combined decades on this river. You will find the Kootenai to be remote, scenic and uncrowded. But best of all we're easily reached from just about anywhere.

Our Fly Shop is conveniently located at the corner of Highway 2 and Highway 56 at the base of the Cabinet Mountains with the Kootenai River below. Easily accessible to any one traveling to this part of Montana.

We also have miles of private access tributary water for guest staying at our spectacular 700 acre Guest Ranch. Newly built and privately situated Creek Side cabins offer a relaxing and incredibly scenic get away. Located at the base of the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness the ranch is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Lodging is available year round.

Wildlife abounds here so bring a camera and good set of binoculars. Guests may also enjoy hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, or just relaxing in this unique place.

KRO's Fly Shop and meeting place is conveniently located at the corner of Highway 2 and Highway 56 in beautiful Troy, Montana. We are an easy and scenic 2.5- to 3-hour drive from Kalispell or Missoula, Glacier Park, or Spokane. The Guest Ranch is located 13.5 miles south of the Fly Shop on Highway 56.
