Dorr Skeels Campground - Troy

Dorr Skeels Campground is located in Kootenai National Forest adjacent to Bull Lake in a beautiful mountain setting approximately 2 miles from the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness boundary. It is at an elevation of 2,200 feet. It contains 7 campsites. Boat ramp, picnicking, buoyed swimming beach (no lifeguard). Fish species include eastern brook and rainbow trout, kokanee salmon, and large mouth bass.

The Ross Creek Scenic Area, a grove of giant cedars nestled in a rain forest-type setting, is located approximately 7 miles from Dorr Skeels. For those visiting the cedars, a designated parking area is available for trailers and large recreational vehicles. Space restrictions do not allow for larger and pull-type units. Restrooms and water. The maximum trailer length accessible to the campground is 32 feet. The duration of your stay may not exceed 14 days.

From Troy, take US Highway 2 east for 3 miles, turning south onto Montana Highway 56. Follow this road for 13 miles to the recreation area. Paved highways to the site and pavement throughout the entire unit.
