Stumptown Historical Society and Whitefish Museum - Whitefish

Restored Great Northern depot and locomotive. Located in the heart of Whitefish, you can explore the area's logging and railroad history as well as the impact each industry has had within the Flathead Valley and throughout the Northwest. No admission is charged.

The Museum of Women's History is a public, non-profit museum established in 1995. The MOWH is a component of the cultural and educational community of Yellowstone County and beyond. Efforts at the museum are devoted to acquiring, preserving, and interpreting information and artifacts that depict and celebrate the accomplishments of women. The approach is comprehensive and multi-cultural. It is designed to be an exhibit and research center to facilitate the understanding of historical events from the perspective of women.

The Whitefish Museum is located between the north ends of Spokane and Central Avenues at the railroad tracks. If entering Whitefish from the south on US Highway 93, continue straight ahead from left hand turn. If coming in from the west on US Highway 93, turn left at Haines Drug.
