Upper Missouri Artists Gallery of Original Art - Helena

The Upper Missouri Artists (UMA) gallery is well known for its display of original artwork. Open all year, the gallery provides optimal opportunities to visit with and enjoy the work of Montana artists, who also staff the gallery. Visitors will be able to see original paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media; also unique fused and molded glass pieces, bronze sculptures, ceramic pottery, photography, and rock mosaics.

UMA artists incorporate a variety of styles from realism to abstract, including Montana landscapes, historical sites and scenes, figures, still life (floral and other), cityscapes, and animals. Member painters participate as a group to paint at locations throughout the state when possible.

Displays at UMA are changed approximately once a month. The changing display includes any new pieces completed by each artist. A large inventory of work is kept in the gallery storage and may be viewed at any time upon request. The 1,800 square feet of gallery space affords a lovely environment in which to absorb the finest of Montana-produced works of art.
