Sage Safaris offers Orvis endorsed wingshooting opportunities hunting wild upland birds across tens of thousands of acres of Montana's Great Plains. Often referred to as America's Serengeti, the sagebrush plains of northern Montana offer excellent habitat for Pheasant, Sharptail Grouse and Hungarian Partridge among an incredible diversity of other wildlife.

With a season that extends from September to December our guests enjoy wingshooting for wild upland game in an exclusive and unique setting.

We pride ourselves on offering an exceptional level of service so from the moment you arrive every detail of your stay is taken care of. We will never book more than one group at a time so you can relax in the privacy our camp, knowing that you will be the only group to hunt with us for the duration of your stay.

Unique amongst bird hunting destinations, Sage Safaris not only offers outstanding upland hunting opportunities but also lodging in our distinctive safaris style luxury tented camp and gourmet dining. Our custom tailored all-inclusive wingshooting packages take care of all the details leaving you to fully appreciate and experience Montana.

Inspired by luxury tented camps found on African safaris, our on-site accommodation boasts canvas wall tents each finished with wooden floors, real beds, a wood stove and safari furniture. Each tent has its own private wet room with permanent heating and a walk-in shower a few steps away. In addition there is a communal lodge which houses the camp's kitchen, lounge and dining area.

Directions From Havre:

• Continue through Havre on Highway 2 (1st Street)

• Turn North onto viaduct following the signs for Canada (the viaduct is also 7th Avenue)

• Follow the paved road around to the left following the signs for Canada.

This is the 232.

• After 3 miles turn right onto the 233 toward the Willow Creek Port.

• Travel 22 miles on this road.

• After mile marker 22 the road bends to the West. Immediately after the bend there is a small turn to the North which is the entrance to Sage Safaris. Turn onto the dirt road.

• After 1/2 mile, take the right fork of the road following the signs for Sage Safaris Campsite. At the next fork take left road and this will lead you to the campsite. Please park your vehicle in the gravel parking area behind the tents.
