JJJ Wilderness Ranch - Augusta

Located in Montana's majestic Rocky Mountain Front between Yellowstone and Glacier National Park, the JJJ Wilderness Ranch is a charming dude ranch specializing in outdoor vacations with an emphasis on horseback riding, trout fishing and hiking. Home to the Barker family for over 30 years, we believe in western hospitality with gracious service to provide a vacation second to none.

Providing a quality-riding program suited to all abilities, unlimited opportunities abound, from high country to meadow rides where you can ride abreast, or lope should you feel like it. A fantastic children's program allows parents a little freedom should they want it, or they can enjoy family rides.

Out of the saddle, fly-fish at the Ranch's spring fed trout ponds, the Sun River or Gibson Lake. Our end of the road location allows for endless hiking opportunities for wildlife watching or non-technical mountain climbing. Soak in the hot tub after a fun filled day; enjoy evening interpretive boat tours on the lake, cookouts, or campfires with cowboy poetry, wild "tale" telling, and singing. Delicious meals feature fresh homemade goodies, garden vegetables and area grown meats. Relax in your cozy cabin, and enjoy the stars in the clear night sky. The ranch is also perfect for small group meetings or retreats.

Fully-outfitted summer horseback trips or fall big game hunting trips into the famous Bob Marshall Wilderness also available. Escape to a simpler way of life with the Triple J.

The JJJ Wilderness Ranch is located in the valley of Mortimer Gulch, above the beautiful Sun River Canyon, 25 miles northwest of Augusta, Montana. Out our back door is the famous million-acre Bob Marshall Wilderness. The Triple J provides free airport pickup and return to the Great Falls International Airport.
