Nestled high in the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by the Absorka Beartooth Wilderness and Yellowstone National Park, Silver Gate is the first town on US Highway 212. Designated as a National Scenic By-way US Highway 212, commonly called the Beartooth Highway was picked by Charles Kuralt as the most beautiful highway in the United States.
